This memo suggests a new DNS RR type to provide a very simple
light-weight authentication scheme for the domain part of the
sender address for SMTP mail transport. It is designed to be a
simple and robust protection against e-mail fraud and especially
spam. It is easy to implement and administer, compatible with all
legislations known by the author, and cheap. It also focuses on
security and privacy problems and requirements in context of spam
defense, and touches non-technical problems of defense against
spam.
