The IESG has approved the Internet-Draft 'Transport Layer Security (TLS) Extensions' <draft-ietf-tls-extensions-06.txt> as a Proposed Standard. This document is the product of the Transport Layer Security Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Jeff Schiller and Steve Bellovin. Technical Summary This document adds a generic option negotiation mechanism to TLS, plus several minor options based on it. Working Group Summary There were no major issues in this document. Protocol Quality Steven Bellovin reviewed the spec for the IESG.
