Hello When I boot the laptop ThinkPad T440p with Ubuntu 14.04, I receive the following message: thinkpad_acpi: Unsupported brightness interface, please contact ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx See below a part of the log. (I did not send it right away, because I thought it will disappear with an update, but it did not, I still have the same messages). What does it mean? How can I get rid of this message? Thanks Edith Birrer _________________________________________________ Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.331382] mei_me 0000:00:16.0: irq 46 for MSI/MSI-X Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.338406] Non-volatile memory driver v1.3 Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.338456] cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.340358] thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad ACPI Extras v0.25 Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.340359] thinkpad_acpi: http://ibm-acpi.sf.net/ Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.340360] thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad BIOS GLET80WW (2.34 ), EC unknown Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.340361] thinkpad_acpi: Lenovo ThinkPad T440p, model 20AWS37C00 Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.340740] thinkpad_acpi: Unsupported brightness interface, please contact ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.340784] thinkpad_acpi: radio switch found; radios are enabled Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.340865] thinkpad_acpi: This ThinkPad has standard ACPI backlight brightness control, supported by the ACPI video driver Dec 7 15:41:22 Krypton-3 kernel: [ 1.340866] thinkpad_acpi: Disabling thinkpad-acpi brightness events by default...
