Bug: Thinkpad E531 with cpu high temperature and a brightness warning

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello

I have a Thinkpad E531 and im having some issues with high CPU
temperature in general.
The CPU runs in 75-85 degrees Celcius most of the time. It never gets
lower than 65 degrees.
Anyway, there is also a warning and a message for brightness interface
issue below.

Below is part of the output from dmesg which includes those messages (I
put some new lines there)

=====
$ dmesg | grep -i acpi

So I really don't know if that has anything to do with the high
temperature or I just have to clean the fan properly (which i am about
to do).

Nevertheless there seems to be some message of unsupported brightness
interface for the driver. Brightness works fine, either with Fn key
either with xbacklight command or any other brightness setting. I sent
here to you since that's what the message tells me to report.

If you find this interesting and would like more info please don't
hesitate to ask. I am not very proficient on anything related
but I am very willing to try anything.

Thanks in advance

Theo
