unsupported brightness interface

I am getting the following message during bootup (kern.log):

Apr 17 22:23:02 euler kernel: [    9.036321] thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad BIOS GJET64WW (2.14 ), EC unknown
Apr 17 22:23:02 euler kernel: [    9.036323] thinkpad_acpi: Lenovo ThinkPad T440s, model 20AQCTO1WW
Apr 17 22:23:02 euler kernel: [    9.037250] thinkpad_acpi: Unsupported brightness interface, please contact ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This is on a Thinkpad 440s running debian/jessie with an experimental kernel.

The message says to contact the list, well, here it is, let me know what other info I can provide.

The brightness control indeed does not work on this laptop. The buttons F5/F6 are not working properly. xbacklight does work.

Thanks for your attention,
-Matyas
