Probably, but I have no idea how difficult it would be.  You're better
off switching to a SSD, so that you can ignore hdaps.

That means the EC protocol changed.  That probably means it would take a
LOT of work, and someone needs to do clean-room reverse engineering
again.

Or maybe it works like in the ideapad, and someone had a driver for that
and proposed it in the platform-drivers kernel ML.

This is not related to thinkpad-acpi at all though, so it is not
something I can help you with.
