My Thinkpad w520 crashes moments after I unplug it from AC power. It didn't crash when I was using the integrated video, but now I'm using the Quadro 1000M (I have the display set to "discrete ..." in the bios). I'm running 64 bit Ubuntu 11.04 with the binary nVidia driver version 270.41.19. Right before it crashes, I see this in the syslog: May 30 18:12:17 monolith init: anacron main process (829) killed by TERM signal May 30 18:12:17 monolith kernel: [ 1382.440289] thinkpad_acpi: THERMAL ALERT: unknown thermal alarm received May 30 18:12:17 monolith kernel: [ 1382.440302] thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6040 May 30 18:12:17 monolith kernel: [ 1382.440309] thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx May 30 18:12:17 monolith kernel: [ 1382.441274] thinkpad_acpi: EC reports that Thermal Table has changed If you would like more info, let me know.
