Hi,
This is the first time I'm writing to a mailing list so I'm sorry if I don't give all the information needed.
Also, I hope I'm writing to the right place and if not I'm sorry.
I have no support for function keys on my Lenovo Edge 15'.
I checked this with OpenSuse 11.3 with kernel 2.6.36 under KDE 4.5 and under the liveCD of Mint 10 running Gnome.
I also have issues with some power management issues (AC power plug in/out is not recognized by KDE power applet though "acpi -V" always gives the right status)
but I don't know if this is related to thinkpad-acpi.
Here is the output of: cat /var/log/boot.omsg | grep -i thinkpad
<6>[ 18.544317] thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad ACPI Extras v0.24
<6>[ 18.544319] thinkpad_acpi: http://ibm-acpi.sf.net/
<6>[ 18.544321] thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad BIOS 80ET29WW (1.06 ), EC 80HT22WW-1.166000
<6>[ 18.544322] thinkpad_acpi: Lenovo ThinkPad Edge, model 03017TG
<6>[ 18.544791] thinkpad_acpi: detected a 8-level brightness capable ThinkPad
<6>[ 18.546109] thinkpad_acpi: radio switch found; radios are enabled
<6>[ 18.546128] thinkpad_acpi: possible tablet mode switch found; ThinkPad in laptop mode
<5>[ 18.548196] thinkpad_acpi: asked for hotkey mask 0x04018070, but firmware forced it to 0x00018070
<5>[ 18.548266] thinkpad_acpi: setting the hotkey mask to 0x00ffffff is likely not the best way to go about it
<5>[ 18.548270] thinkpad_acpi: please consider using the driver defaults, and refer to up-to-date thinkpad-acpi documentation
<6>[ 18.560374] thinkpad_acpi: rfkill switch tpacpi_bluetooth_sw: radio is blocked
<6>[ 18.578340] thinkpad_acpi: Standard ACPI backlight interface available, not loading native one.
<6>[ 18.578433] thinkpad_acpi: Console audio control enabled, mode: monitor (read only)
<6>[ 18.580789] input: ThinkPad Extra Buttons as /devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/input/input8
Is there support for my model at all?
If not what can I do to help?
Thanks,
Ran
