Hello, I'm testing a newish Thinkpad T410 and I had a really odd lockup moments ago. This is with Ubuntu 10.4. The laptop is currently using the following kernel: 2.6.32-22-server #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 20:38:33 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux I had some music playing with light network activity; I was engaged in a little light bedtime C programming. Suddenly, my entire X session locked up. The screen froze and I was unable to change to a virtual console or anything useful. The music continued to play until I forced a shutdown. While perusing the logs on disk after a reboot, I noticed the following: kernel: [ 7982.108732] thinkpad_acpi: temperatures (Celsius): 50 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 kernel: [ 7982.108744] thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6000 kernel: [ 7982.108747] thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx kernel: [ 7982.846291] thinkpad_acpi: temperatures (Celsius): 50 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 kernel: [ 7982.846302] thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6000 kernel: [ 7982.846305] thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx kernel: [ 7983.147429] thinkpad_acpi: temperatures (Celsius): 50 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 kernel: [ 7983.147444] thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6000 kernel: [ 7983.147449] thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx kernel: [ 7983.551485] thinkpad_acpi: temperatures (Celsius): 50 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 kernel: [ 7983.551496] thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6000 kernel: [ 7983.551500] thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx kernel: [ 7983.852190] thinkpad_acpi: temperatures (Celsius): 50 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 kernel: [ 7983.852202] thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6000 kernel: [ 7983.852205] thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Please let me know if there's something else that will help with this unhandled event.
