Hello,

This is what appears in my Lenovo W510's dmesg output from time to time:

thinkpad_acpi: THERMAL ALERT: unknown thermal alarm received
thinkpad_acpi: temperatures (Celsius): 42 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6000
thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
thinkpad_acpi: THERMAL ALERT: unknown thermal alarm received
thinkpad_acpi: temperatures (Celsius): 41 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
thinkpad_acpi: unhandled HKEY event 0x6000
thinkpad_acpi: please report the conditions when this event happened to ibm-acpi-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It says I should report this. :-) If you want me to carry out some experiments or provide more data, just let me know.

These messages always appear in pairs, just like above. It seems to me that they pop up when the CPU temperature rises above and/or falls below a certain value.

Cheers!
