Please mask out serial numbers and UUIDs. Now, let's try to fix the problem you're having. There were some changes since 2.6.30 that made the driver much stricter about autoloading. Does the module load if you give it the "force_load=1" parameter? If you stick printk(TPACPI_NOTICE "some message"); inside various points of functions get_thinkpad_model_data() and probe_for_thinkpad(), can you find out at which point your T23 is failing the tests? -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
