brightness control somehow broken on my Z61m

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I have a Z61m with kernel 2.6.20.4.
After the boot /sys/class/backlight/ibm/actual_brightness
and /proc/acpi/ibm/brightness show level 0, even if my LCD is set to
the highest level. Playing around with the brightness keys on the
keyboard does not change anything (but tpb shows the change correctly).

However, I can do a echo <level> into the needed files, and the display
changes, also changing the value which can be read.

Is this a (known|solved) bug? ;-)

Regard
Evgeni, found this bug during playing around with brightd
