serial port reassignment

Hello ,

I’m trying to figure out how to prevent serial port reassignment when using a 8 port usb to serial hub. Currently the USB hub is assigned to dev usb0 - usb6 and the second hub is usb7-usb15. When the PC reboots, the usb to serial hubs get switched sometimes. The one that was usb0-usb6 is now usb7-usb15. Does anyone know how to make this static so the USB devices don’t move around?

System info
Dell Optiplex 780 running Centos 5

Best Regards, Demetrick
