Hi, I'm using an eeepc 701 and just bought a SDHC card which doesn't get detected unless : - it's plugged at boot time - I use udevadm trigger - it has been detected once before (with either the first or second method above) If it's not an expected behavior below are some infos. Thanks Disk /dev/sdc: 4016 MB, 4016570368 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 488 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Disk identifier: 0x000e9d0c P: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb1/1-5/1-5:1.0/host3/target3:0:0/3:0:0:0/block/sdc N: sdc W: 23 S: block/8:32 S: disk/by-id/usb-USB2.0_CardReader_SD0_146030377350-0:0 S: disk/by-path/pci-0000:00:1d.7-usb-0:5:1.0-scsi-0:0:0:0 E: UDEV_LOG=3 E: DEVPATH=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb1/1-5/1-5:1.0/host3/target3:0:0/3:0:0:0/block/sdc E: MAJOR=8 E: MINOR=32 E: DEVNAME=/dev/sdc E: DEVTYPE=disk E: SUBSYSTEM=block E: ID_VENDOR=USB2.0 E: ID_VENDOR_ENC=USB2.0\x20\x20 E: ID_VENDOR_ID=0951 E: ID_MODEL=CardReader_SD0 E: ID_MODEL_ENC=CardReader\x20SD0\x20\x20 E: ID_MODEL_ID=1606 E: ID_REVISION=0100 E: ID_SERIAL=USB2.0_CardReader_SD0_146030377350-0:0 E: ID_SERIAL_SHORT=146030377350 E: ID_TYPE=disk E: ID_INSTANCE=0:0 E: ID_BUS=usb E: ID_USB_INTERFACES=:080650: E: ID_USB_INTERFACE_NUM=00 E: ID_USB_DRIVER=usb-storage E: ID_PATH=pci-0000:00:1d.7-usb-0:5:1.0-scsi-0:0:0:0 E: DEVLINKS=/dev/block/8:32 /dev/disk/by-id/usb-USB2.0_CardReader_SD0_146030377350-0:0 /dev/disk/by-path/pci-0000:00:1d.7-usb-0:5:1.0-scsi-0:0:0:0 -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-hotplug" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
