Hi, I'm using ubunto 7.10 and I need to some help. I can't get a disk/volume to be mounted automatically after a hot-swap. After the disk is insert I issue a scan command to the scsi device. echo 0 0 0>/sys/class/scsi_host/host$NO/scan It then shows up in /dev/mapper/group-vol but no automount. During boot the volume is mounted acording to fstab fstab: /dev/mapper/group-vol /mnt/group-vol ext3 rw,noatime,async,auto 0 0 output from udevmonitor: UDEV [1224014115.272356] add /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1e.0/0000:03:04.0/host4/target4:0:0/4:0:0:0 (scsi) UDEV [1224014115.273418] add /class/scsi_disk/4:0:0:0 (scsi_disk) UDEV [1224014126.056338] add /class/scsi_device/4:0:0:0 (scsi_device) UDEV [1224014126.057500] add /class/scsi_generic/sg4 (scsi_generic) UDEV [1224014126.116348] add /block/sdd (block) UDEV [1224014126.227975] add /block/sdd/sdd1 (block) UDEV [1224014126.236733] add /block/dm-0 (block) UDEV [1224014126.244120] change /block/dm-0 (block) I think something is missing in the /etc/udev/rules.d 00-init.rules 05-options.rules 20-names.rules 30-cdrom_id.rules 40-permissions.rules 45-fuse.rules 60-symlinks.rules 65-dmsetup.rules 65-persistent-input.rules 65-persistent-storage.rules 70-persistent-cd.rules 70-persistent-net.rules 75-cd-aliases-generator.rules 75-persistent-net-generator.rules 80-programs.rules 85-alsa.rules 85-hdparm.rules 85-hdparm.rules.dpkg-new 85-hwclock.rules 85-ifupdown.rules 85-lvm2.rules 85-pcmcia.rules 90-modprobe.rules 99-udevmonitor.rules Can someone guide me where I should look? /Pelle _________________________________________________________________ Hetaste modetipsen & härligaste skönhetstesterna! http://salongk.msn.se/-- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-hotplug" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
