Yeah, so the script echoes 0 into offline in the order of cpu0 to cpu7.
The script outputs the value of offline after that echo.  When we get
to cpu7, it shows that offline = 1, which appears to be correct
behavior.  Then after each line I also output the return code of
echo.  It's just that Nathan suggested echo should return a 1 in that
instance when my scripts are showing echo appears to be returning 0 no
matter the outcome.  Unless I got $? confused with something else...
