Is your 'panic' associated with the hotplug patch set? Have you tried booting 2.6.11 on the 720 without mhp1? The 'defconfig' for POWER has CONFIG_FB defined which has a bug and will prevent booting (at least on my 720). Make sure this is off in your config. -- Mike
