To address the interest of hotplug memory patches compiling on ia64, it looks like it doesn't build on 2.6.10-rc2: https://www.osdl.org/plm-cgi/plm?module=patch_info&patch_id=3869 And all the subsequent patches don't build on top of that, -mm4 and -mhp3. May have to pull in changes in the ia64 tree. Mark
