linking — wpa_supplicant.c:8107: undefined reference to `wpa_debug_open_syslog'

Hello,

• below I describe a non-working .config with CONFIG_DEBUG_SYSLOG=n . The code has some options to enable or disable (non-)empty wpa_debug_close_syslog, but in this particular configuration wpa_debug_close_syslog is missing and required for linkink.

• Besides, if I do not pass -Ddriver to wpa_supplicant, how can I see which driver is used in wpa_cli?  dump, status and list_networks do not show this.	

• $ wpa_cli help|grep " set ="  shows:
  set = set variables (shows list of variables when run without arguments)

but
$ wpa_cli set
Selected interface 'wlan0'
Invalid SET command - at least 2 arguments are required.

so help suggests “set” works without arguments (shows a list), but in practice it requires at least two arguments).
