I cannot consider applying this (or the other patches with a similar
issue) without a full commit message that includes the Signed-off-by:
line as described in the top level CONTRIBUTIONS file.

What version of the compiler fails to build this? I don't remember seeing this type of issues with Visual Studio, but it has been years since I last tried.

19.28.29335 (Visual Studio 2019) but it's been broken all along. Errors at #define wpa_dbg(args...) wpa_msg(args)
