Hello again list,
the issue I described appears to duplicate to that described by
Hans-Peter Jansen <hpj@xxxxxxxxx> in his message on 2022-02-07 with
subject "Bug#1003907: fails to successfully associate".
I'll regard this as taken care of and unsubscribe from the list.
Thanks anyway.

Hello list,
since I updated to wpa_supplicant v2.10 (from 2.9) the connection to
my wifi AP fails throwing the following messages.

My search for code 40 led me to:
https://community.cisco.com/t5/wireless-mobility-documents/802-11-association-status-802-11-deauth-reason-codes/ta-p/3148055
Apparently code 40 means:
40: Peer QSTA does not support the requested cipher suite
When I downgrade wpa_supplicant back to v2.9 (with all other recent
updates to other packages of my distro still applied) the connection
succeeds again.
Firmware of my wifi adapter has stayed the same.
Do I need to configure wpa_supplicant differently with the new version
(because of something that got changed with the cyphers)?
What can I do to make v2.10 work?
Thanks
