That README file was apparently not updated (will do that now).. parallel-vm.py replaced parallel-vm.sh a long time ago and I recently removed the not anymore maintained parallel-vm.sh versiion. In other words, just replace that parallel-vm.sh part with parallel-vm.py. Or alternatively, use "./vm-run.sh -f hs20_filter" if you want to run just couple of test cases.
