State of roaming in hostapd

I have been attempting to get caught up on hostapd for a project I am
designing. This brought me to a few questions regarding roaming and
IAPP.

Since IAPP has been withdrawn I am assuming it is no longer in use or
will be eventually removed.

1. If IAPP is gone, what mechanism is in place to handle transfer of
buffered frames between BSSes.
2. Are previous associations validated with the current BSS before the
re-association response is sent from the new BSS?
3. Is it safe to assume that the above questions would be the same
answer wether using FT or not?4. How is hostapd distributing the
PMK-R1s in FT?
5. Is there a PMK-R0 holder? If so, how is this determined?6.
Does hostapd support FT over the DS? If yes, how are the action frames
forwarded to the new BSS?

Thanks,
Michael Mullins
