New to gtk+, how do I get rid of the pesky drag and drop text box that shows up when you select selected text?

Hey GTK+ Crew,

New to gtk+, how do I get rid of the pesky drag and drop text box that shows up when you select selected text?

I want to make a text view that I can start the selection process again without that box showing up.
