Looks like you're missing a gdk_extension_mode_get_type. I looked in my
copy of gtk+ but it wasn't there so the version of gtkmm that you're
trying to build probably isn't compatible with the version of gtk+ that
you have.

Keep in mind that gtkmm 2.99.8 is four years old. You should probably
use one of the stable gtkmm versions after 3.0, preferably a version
close to the version of gtk+ that you're using.
