Fedora 15 shipped with two versions of GTK+, GTK+ 2.24 and GTK+ 3.0. Which version you should install depend on which version you need, since they are not fully compatible. If you have a binary that you need to get working then it depends on which version the binary was linked against. You can check this by running ldd on the binary and check the name of the GTK+ library. You can have both installed at the same time if you want. For GTK+ 2.24 the package that you need is called gtk2, and for GTK+ 3.0 it is called gtk3.
