I have problems compiling glib 2.27.2 on Solaris 10/x86 and I have problem finding a solution with google because of the undefined symbols. "glib major minor" is not a really precise good search term. :-)

I use GCC 4.5.1 and have set the LIBS variable:

export LIBS="-lsocket -lnsl"

But where do I find major and minor? man major and man minor don't mention the library which contains these calls.

/bin/bash ../libtool  --tag=CC   --mode=link gcc  -g -O2 -Wall   -o gdbus gdbus-tool.o libgio-2.0.la ../glib/libglib-2.0.la ../gobject/libgobject-2.0.la -lsocket -lnsl
