Hello, I am new to this list, so if this inquiry should be sent elsewhere, please let me know I have run across an issue in a few GTK applications, (namely Pidgin and Firefox) and I was wondering if I could get an opinion as to where this needs to be reported. First let me give some context here. I use the WMII window manager, and it has a mode where windows are stacked vertically on the screen, so only one window is visible at a time. Apparently what it does (At least, this is how I have interpreted this from the issue tracker when i tried to report the bug on there http://code.google.com/p/wmii/issues/detail?id=182), is that it unmaps the windows when they leave focus. This is where GTK comes in, an issue that I have often is when I do something in an application that opens up a new window over an old window, such as open a conversation in pidgin, the buddy list is covered up, and I have let go of the mouse, but when I switch back to the buddy list window, it acts like I have not let go of the mouse, and whenever i move the mouse around, it takes the contact node that I clicked around with it. This also happens in firefox when moving the scrollbar around, and during that event, another window pops up. Switching back to the firefox window makes it act like I am constantly scrolling. Should this situation be handled by GTK? Anyways, Sorry for such a long description there, but I just wanted to be clear. If someone could point me in the right direction as to how this needs to be resolved, it would be appreciated.
