Hi Zhang,
Please use reply all to continue posting to the gtk list instead of replying privately.
You're program is correct (though obviously it doesn't do anything) and does not give any warnings. It seems like you have an installation problem. Please describe your system, and perhaps someone on the list can help you.
Regards,
Dov

char *argv[] )
{
GtkWidget *window;gtk_init (&argc, &argv);window = gtk_window_new (GTK_WINDOW_TOPLEVEL);g_signal_connect (G_OBJECT (window), "delete_event",
G_CALLBACK (gtk_main_quit), NULL);gtk_container_set_border_width (GTK_CONTAINER (window), 10);
gtk_widget_show (window);gtk_main ();return (0);

No, you don't create threads to handle events. Instead you connect to callbacks through g_signal_connect().
But in order to get an intelligent reply from this list, you should provide a complete compilable program that exhibit the problem that you experience.

I don't know how to deal with the signal
when I clicked the icon on taskbar with
right button of the mouse
the program runs ok,
but it gives the warnings in the console:
GLib-WARNING **: g_main_context_prepare() called recursively from within a
source's check() or prepare() member.
GLib-WARNING **: g_main_context_check() called recursively from within a

should i use a callback function to deal
with the signal "button_press_event"or
create a thread to run in the idle time?
