There's https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322194 which I get
in 10 seconds of searching but I seem to recall an even more popular
bug on the subject (though that may have been something else I'm not
recalling at the moment).

It's definitely something many developers would love to see in Gtk+,
but only a few have stepped up to the bat with patches and actually
discussed the problem, so most applications end up growing their own
code for Undo/Redo anyways.
