I draw into the backbuffer in the configure handler. I draw into the window in
the expose handler (by copying the pixmap of the backbuffer). This should fulfill
the requirement of doing it
right?
I'll have a look at different approaches later. I am busy with other matters right
now. Thanks! (Or btw.: is the expose thingy deprecated? The gtk tutorial from gtks
website doesn't state so. I use Compiz. Does it fire exposes?)
