I think you will be suggested to publish you code and the exact code; I vaguely recollect gtk+ has provisions which disables running it as root - for security reasons, so you may first want to spawn a process under a different than root user ID - nobody ? Try your program first outside the inetd under a non-root user ID. Regards, Sergei. P.S.
