image question

Hi,

I am trying to come up to speed on Gtk. I started with Glade then took
its generated code and went from there. I am also trying to come up to
speed on the video4linux API. I have my webcam working and I am
getting my driver callbacks working good.

I now need to put them together and display the image in its dedicated
window so I have a couple of questions.

Is there any sample code around that takes YU12 data and displays the
video in a small preview window? Any tutorials about images and video
programming? Do any of the Gtk image widgets take YU12 directly or am
I going to have to convert it to RGB?

I have been studying the source of Ekiga but still cannot understand
that camera-to-Gtk image interface.

Thanks for any help...

-Andres
