I'm not certain on the history or politics, but GooCanvas is pretty
solid. IIRC, its based on ideas of FooCanvas, but FooCanvas stopped
development or some such. And if I ever get off my ass, I'll finish
some C++ bindings. (There's already a set of Python bindings)
