There's another thing that I've noticed...

When Im trying to paste japanese characters to textbox of fontselector using this compiled gtk with -DX_LOCALE enabled and X with -DX_LOCALE enabled, the japanese characters is displayed already on its textbox.

But again, the font selector widget does not convert japanese text from english text. It just retain the english text not just like before that no text is being displayed....

It sounds as if you did same thing with your first post.
