Button Background Colors in Windows XP

If I set the background color of a gtk.Button, the color is not
recognized while using the "Luna" or standard XP theme in Windows
XP.  Using the classic theme in Windows XP or Windows 2000 works
just fine.

I have filed a bug report which has sample code demonstrating the issue.

Does anyone know what to do to resolve this?
