Typing in the entry would move selection to matching entry in file list like it does in GtkFileChooserDefault -- except one could see what one types, unlike in GtkFileChooserDefault. And pressing up and down arrow in the entry could move selection up and down -- I've seen a file open dialog that worked like that and it was quite convenient to use with keyboard. There would be a clash with completion of course, as one can't use arrows for completion and moving around at the same time. And to make multiple selection with keyboard one would have to actually move focus to the list. But it doesn't sound quite like `ruin' to me. Has anyone tried it and failed fatally?
