gtk+ 2.6.2 & Fedora Core 3

Hi,

I ´d like to upgrade the GTK+ in Fedora Core 3 to the latest, and that´s the first time I´m building the GTK+ libraires, so, for sure, I´m doing something or everything in the wrong way. That´s what I have:

./ configure --prefix= /usr/gtk
make
make install
works fine for the latest Glib.

./configure --prefix = /usr/gtk works fine with pango-1.8.0,
but when make, problems appear and glib.h is not found., but I set CPPFLAGS to /usr/gtk/include and Glib installation was OK so the header is there.

Anybody has done this installation or may help me?

Many thanks
