I've installed gtk 2.4.10 (in theory) in order to test avidemux, but I'm getting a problem that seems to tie back to my installation of gtk. I even get this now when I run a stable version of the application that had worked prior ot me installing gtk (and it's dependencies) Any assistance in troubleshooting would be helpful.
