Yes I know :-) The application in question is not a new one, but the emulation of existing interface. That's why GtkNotebook is not acceptable :-/


Apart for beeing A Bad Thing, most window managers simply doesn't have that functionality. If you're _really_ desperate, there are toolkit level window managers that can give you MDI functionality, at the price of not beeing able to have the internal windows look and behave the same way as toplevel windows.
