Slackware 9.1 does use GNOME 2.4.0 ... GNOME 2.4.0 does include GLib-2.2.3,
Pango-1.2.5, ATK-1.4.0 and GTK+-2.2.4

So there should be no problem with GTK+

Gnome uses GTK+ (Gimp Tool Kit), GTK+2 uses Pango (layout and rendering of
internationalized text) and ATK (Accessibility Tool Kit) and Glib (the
lowlevel core library).

You don't need to upgrade them, to use Bluefish. But what you need to
install is libpcre, it should be on CD2 of Slackware 9.1
