32bit FB on gtk2+

I have a FB device and I ported gtk2.2.2 for it. 
The problem is that my device expects ARGB ( 32 bit ) where A is local alpha.
GTK sets A to 0 and I don't see anything on the framebuffer. Is there a clean way to tell GTK to always set A of 0xff ?
