Not in this case. It'd be different with a one-element array (u8 data[1]),
though.

The same as sizeof(struct-with-zero-length-array):

"Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator
may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of
zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1]
