Hi Andrew, I think I found the issue: Since GnuGk 4.9 misspelled placeholders are not replaced. That way you have a chance to find them. The unintended side effect was that some good placeholders like %{connect-time} where the value is not available in direct mode would also be left in. That should be fixed now.
