New wave of H.323 spam calls posing as Mera RTU

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

it looks like there is a new wave of spam calls posing as "MERA RTU"
softswitch. The calls look rather similar to the "cisco" calls we are
seeing for a while now and the fraudsters seem to have a similar
toll-fraud business model. This time they are sending Setup messages
with a bunch of fastStart entries.

Users that don't get any regular calls from Mera devices (eg. because
they only do video calls) can block these calls by the vendor ID.
I just added a %{Vendor} variable to SQLAuth in the CVS.

Regards,
Jan
