Hi, there are a number of new features in the CVS for the next release: - SNMP support This lets you monitor GnuGk with standard management tools and receive traps when something goes wrong. With Net-SNMP, you can even use SNMPv3 with full authentication and encryption support. http://www.gnugk.org/gnugk-manual-12.html#ss12.10 - H.235 media encryption If your endpoints don't support encryption themselves, GnuGk can encrypt the outgoing RTP media stream to the remote endpoint. [RoutedMode] EnableH235HalfCallMedia=1 - Forwarding policy If you want calls forwarded if the called endpoint is busy or doesn't answer etc. you can let GnuGk forward the call eg. to a coworker. Just place the condition and the new destination in a SQL table. http://www.gnugk.org/gnugk-manual-6.html#ss6.13 - H.460.17 firewall traversal And these are just the big ones, there is a lot more. ;-) All features are in the CVS and I would encourage you to try them out and give feedback. http://www.gnugk.org/compiling-gnugk.html Regards, Jan -- Jan Willamowius, Founder of the GNU Gatekeeper Project EMail : jan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Website: http://www.gnugk.org Support: http://www.willamowius.com/gnugk-support.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
