I ran the CVS instructions on a Debian machine and I now seem to have
the Gatekeeper running. Haven't tested further then issuing a gnugk command and
seeing that it responds. I would note that my executable ended up in a
directory called
obj_linux_x86_s
emphasis on the _s. I presume this is OK?
I would also note that I believe this line
$ cd ~/openh323gk
in the block about updating after you've done all the compiling should probably read
$ cd openh323gk
Or I've screwed up somehow. In my system its ~/h323plus/openh323gk NOT ~/openh323gk
When I have a spare moment I will return to the Fedora machine and see if I can rectify that and report what turns up. Thanks Jan!

Hi Steve,
it looks like you are not using the H323Plus version you compiled, but
an installed version under /usr/include/openh323/ (probably older). I
would suggest you remove the installed version and try again with a
non-installed H323Plus with OPENH323DIR pointing to it.
There are also step-by-step instructions here (those are for Ubuntu,
but Fedora should be almost the same)
http://www.gnugk.org/compile-cvs.html
If all failes, the 2.3.2 executable on gnugk.org should also run on
Fedora.
Regards,
Jan
