Hi Dennis,

please send in your changes. I didn't call for a feature freeze, but I
don't want to do "risky" changes now that aren't bug fixes.

Depending how much they change and how sure we can be that they don't
break anything, we can either put them into 2.3.2 or start the 2.3.3
branch now.
