gnugk on Fedora Core 6

I need to run gnugk on Fedora Core 6. There doesn't seem to be a
package, and when I try to build it, configure requires openh323.
Unfortunately, FC6 no longer offers Openh323, but rather opal 2.2.2,
which provides /usr/lib/libopal.s/usr/lib/libopal.so and assorted symlinks.

Is it possible to build gnugk against opal?

If not, is anybody using gnugk on FC6 and what did you do to accomplish
this?

As a side note, I went down an all-day rathole trying to build openh323
(with pwlib), with no success.

Thanks,
