Re: Configure NetMeeting for H.323 proxy and calladdressing

Edson,

thank you for the hint. Just to make sure I sniff what I think I will be
sniffing:

If I want to call a remote system (let's say 80.90.100.1) using this
setup, what should I enter in NM to make the call. If I connect to a
gatekeeper and I just enter 80.90.100.1 I get an error message saying
something like "The user is not known to any gatekeeper".

Do I need to use a special syntax to explicitely call a remote IP
address versus calling a user which is connected to my gatekeeper? Or
will I have to make each remote (read: not under my control) known to my
gatekeeper somehome? If yes, some hint would be fine.

Also, could you just help me? I understand that a gatekeeper as such and
a H.323 proxy are two different things in the first place, but that the
GnuGk by chance also can act as a H.323 proxy if started with the -r
option and proxy settings in the .ini files enabled?

Now this looks to me as if to NM gatekeeper and proxy is the same again?

Finally ... any idea regading szenario b?

Regards,
Torsten

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
Get stuff done quickly with pre-integrated technology to make your job easier
